Eva Roučka

Eva Roučka

Born in Pilsen, she was only able to enter VŠUP in Prague after seven years (due to "unsuitable political profile", as was quite common during the Communist regime). In 1975 she began studying at the ceramics studio, menawhile finishing studies as a window dresser and a graphic designer at the Václav Hollar institute. In 1979 she immigrated to France and was immediately admitted to École Nationale Supérieure des Arts Appliqués et des Matiers d‘Art in Paris. She moved to north Provence in 1984 where she lives and works as a freelancer ever since.
