Rudy Pulcinelli

Born in Prato, Italy in 1970. He lives and works between Prato and Beijing. Graduated from Pistoia’s Petrocchi School of Art, in 1990 he enrolled in Florence’s Architecture.
From the 90s his international career took him to: France, USA, UAE, Netherlands, Uruguay, Thailand, China, Morocco, Argentina, Brazil, Canada, Japan, India, Turkey, Russia, Spain etc.
With the symbolism of the glyphs’ shapes from the 7 most used alphabets in the world, Pulcinelli links the ideas of communication and memory: a contemporary media-oriented and emotional sculptural/installation based language, a communication aimed at underlining the need to invest in the individual, so that each individual’s characteristic – ethnic, linguistic, cultural – is an opportunity not an obstacle.
