Lightening Doors
Johannes Pfeiffer
wood, paint
The project consists of 5 wooden doors made of very old chestnut wood taken from old decayed houses in the Italian mountains. I carbonized the doors with fire.
I would like to continue the Sculpture Line with a light installation. So I treated the door with fluorescent paint.
Fluorescent paint gives more hope than just carbonizing the door. After years of pandemics, it's good to give some hope with this glowing door on the wall, which will shine like a promise to find the light at the end of the tunnel.
The artwork Lightening Doors is installed with the financial support of the Czech-German Fund for the Future.
