cork oak wood

More than 300 years old cork oak tree fallen from a storm was a symbol of a neighborhood. I decided to respect the original shape of the tree and to give it a new life making it a meeting place and a part of the history of the town.

Liliya Pobornikova was 1979 in Bulgaria. Currently living and working in Spain.
National Academy of Arts in Sofia with the focus on wood sculpture.
Member of the Union of Bulgarian Artists.
Participation in 109 sculpture symposiums in 31 countries: Austria, Argentina, Bulgaria, Brazil, China, Chile, Cyprus, Denmark, Egypt, France, Germany, Guatemala, Italy, Israel, Japan, Luxembourg, Lithuania, Latvia, Mexico, Norway, Paraguay, Portugal, Poland, Russia, Slovenia, Sweden, Switzerland, Spain, Turkey, Taiwan, Thailand, USA, Vietnam.

Works with different materials, including: stone, wood, metal, wax, concrete, bronze, ceramics, ice, snow - also in land art. Her sculptures are represented in museums
in Taiwan, Denmark, Egypt and Brazil.
