Tereziánská zbrojnice

The four-winged one-story building is a typical example of the Theresian military architecture. It was built for Maria Theresa in 1771-1778, opposite the entrance of the Archbishop‘s residence, to defend the festive trips of the archbishop, whom the ruler did not like.
In the nineties of the 20th century, the armory was modified for use by the Palacký University. Today, you will find a university library, a restaurant, a computer center UP, a UP Publishing House, an UP Archive and a Eurocentrum.
